What You Need To Know

For years, Indiana has operated under a disclosure agency system, leaving some buyers uncertain about who truly represents their best interests. However, with the introduction of this new law, the landscape is set to change dramatically for the better. 

Buyers will now have the option to enter into formal buyer agency agreements with real estate professionals, ensuring dedicated representation throughout their home-buying journey.

Under these agreements, the fiduciary duties owed by agents to their buyers will be explicitly outlined, ensuring that agents are fully committed to advocating for the buyer’s financial well-being and negotiating on their behalf.
